Published on November 12, 2019, a British dad's unusual request for a vasectomy ring has left many in awe. The man, who has five kids, is due to undergo a vasectomy at the end of November and wants to 'immortalise' his live sperm in a piece of jewellery.

According to the man, he and his wife have been pranking each other with unusual gifts for over 20 years, and he thinks this one could be the best yet. He has set aside around £1,500 for the ring and has been searching for a jeweller to help him for a month, to no avail.

The man has taken to online services marketplace Bark.com to find a professional who can facilitate his needs. Kai Feller, co-founder of Bark.com, said, 'This is definitely one of the weirdest requests we’ve received in a while, but as always we’re happy to help our customers find a professional who can facilitate their needs, no matter how obscure!'

While some might disapprove of the idea, Feller argues that if people are having rings made out of breast milk and human ashes, why can’t sperm be made into one as well? The man's request has sparked a debate, with some questioning the ethics of creating a ring containing live sperm.
