On November 2, 2019, Jerome Valcke, a former FIFA Number 2, lodged an appeal against his 10-year ban from the world soccer governing body.
Valcke, who worked alongside Sepp Blatter from 2003 to 2015, was banned for failing to cooperate with investigators, the resale of World Cup tickets, and inflated expenses.
According to his lawyer, Stephane Ceccaldi, the appeal was lodged with the European Court of Human Rights, as reported by French daily Le Monde.
