On November 11, 2019, the Athletics Integrity Unit announced a four-year doping ban for former half-marathon world record holder Abraham Kiptum.
Irregularities on Kiptum's biological passport, which tracks potential doping, led to the ban.
According to the World Athletics Disciplinary Tribunal, Kiptum has been banned for four years, effective from April 28, 2019.
However, Kiptum, 30, has denied any form of doping or blood manipulation, despite the Tribunal's suspicion of blood doping.
