On April 6, at the Nyayo National Stadium, Emyba pulled off a remarkable victory over Equity Bank, securing their spot in the Kenya Basketball Federation (KBF) men's Premier League semis play-offs.
Despite falling behind in the first game, Emyba bounced back to win the second and third games, ultimately defeating Equity Bank 2-1.
Emyba's Thomas Kioko was instrumental in their victory, scoring 30 points to lead his team to a semis slot on their first attempt.
Former champions Ulinzi Warriors also advanced to the semis after beating Lakeside 2-0.
Meanwhile, in the women's Premier League, champions Equity Bank Hawks dismissed Tangit Sparks 2-0 to book a semis date with University of Nairobi (UON) Dynamites.
