Kenyan defender Joash Onyango is eager to make up for lost time ahead of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualification matches, which begin this week.
Onyango, who was recently voted the best defender in the Kenyan Premier League last season, is set to feature prominently in Thursday's qualifier against Egypt at the Alexandria Stadium, some 300 kilometres from Cairo.
He was part of the Harambee Stars squad at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt but a knee injury saw him miss out on all three games against Tanzania, Algeria, and Senegal.
Onyango's focus has now shifted to the Cairo match, where he hopes to make a positive impact and help Kenya qualify for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
