WillX BOY, a 26-year-old songwriter and producer from Nairobi, is set to release the first chapter of his new musical journey: the 'TellHerNoHela' EP. This six-song EP, featuring one bonus track, showcases WillX's ability to evolve and grow from his past, as he experiments with a different sound inspired by his newfound passion for storytelling.
The EP is infused with elements of chill-hop, giving it a modern twist. WillX's growth as a writer, producer, and songwriter is evident in the music, and he is proud to have pushed himself to try new things with this project.
WillX's musical journey began as a rapper, with his debut solo single 'How to Love' released in 2016. He later gained recognition with his breakthrough single 'Sunny Days' in 2019. The 'TellHerNoHela' EP looks to be an attention-grabber, with its storyline captivating fans.
WillX's inspiration comes from various artists, including Jon Bellion, J. Cole, Phora, YBN Cordae, and Locksmith. He draws inspiration from across the board, from Bob Marley to modern-day music, as long as it has a message or positive motive behind it.
When asked about his vision behind the lyric video for 'BODY LANGUAGE,' WillX stated that he wanted to create something artsy and visually appealing, without sticking to a specific storyline. The video features colorful animation and images that bring the song to life.
