Kenya Power has embarked on a two-month campaign to boost customer satisfaction and protect its revenue, starting with Nairobi County.
Dubbed 'Know Your Meter', the initiative kicked off on Monday and aims to cover approximately 2 million meters in the county.
The campaign will involve checking premises to verify electricity connections, meter presence, and proper meter installation and functionality.
It will also identify and eliminate illegal connections, as well as address customer concerns.
According to Managing Director & CEO Bernard Ngugi, the campaign is crucial for protecting the company's valuable assets, its meters, which convert electricity into revenue.
'The campaign is being implemented out of a need to protect one of our most valuable assets- our meters. This campaign is crucial since it is through meters that electricity turns into money for the Company,' said Mr. Ngugi.
Kenya Power staff from all divisions will implement the campaign, wearing branded jackets with visible job identification cards.
Mr. Ngugi urged customers to support the staff in completing their task.
