Published on November 11, 2019, Bandari FC head coach Bernard Mwalala expressed frustration with match officials after his side lost 1-0 to Ulinzi Stars in a Kenyan Premier League match held at Afraha Stadium in Nakuru.
Mwalala's team had a tough week, losing to Western Stima in a mid-week clash before facing Ulinzi Stars on Sunday.
‘We are trying all we can to get maximum points but someone is just here to deny us everything,’ Mwalala lamented in his post-match reflections.
He also attributed his team's poor performance to fatigue, citing the long travel schedule that has affected their concentration.
‘We have been travelling in and out of the country of course. It has affected our performance as players lose concentration. As we head for a break I promise our fans that we will come back strongly and ensure we fulfill our pledge of winning the league title,’ Mwalala added.
Ulinzi Stars head coach Benjamin Nyangweso, on the other hand, praised his team's performance, saying they created and capitalized on their chances.
‘Against AFC we didn’t create a lot of chances but today we managed to create a few and made use of one which won us the game,’ Nyangweso said.
