Published on November 11, 2019, women have been sharing their disturbing experiences with maternity nurses at various hospitals in Kenya.

From Pumwani to Mama Lucy and Kenyatta National Hospital, the stories of mistreatment and disrespect by nurses have been flooding social media platforms.

One woman narrated how a nurse told her to 'position properly so that they could sew me up and give me a chance to go and spoil (nunu) again' during delivery.

Another woman shared how a nurse said to her, 'You are screaming like a lightning arrestor, I have measured you and you are not big like the one that caused the pregnancy.'

Yet another woman narrated how a nurse blasted her for screaming, saying, 'You are hitting me and you are used to sticks plus it's not big like the one that caused the pregnancy.'

These are just a few of the many disturbing stories shared by women who have had the misfortune of being treated by rude maternity nurses.
