Former President Daniel arap Moi has been re-admitted to the Nairobi Hospital on Saturday, November 9, 2019, for a routine medical check-up.

According to a statement released by Moi's press secretary Lee Njiru, the former President is in a VIP wing of the hospital, where he is being attended to by a professional medical team led by his personal physician Dr. David Silverstein.

"He is in a homely setup, to facilitate continual checkups and necessary treatment," said Njiru, appealing to the press not to cause unwarranted alarm.

Just days ago, Moi was discharged from the hospital after a two-week stay, during which he was given a "clean bill of health" by his medical team.

However, Moi's family had dismissed reports of his critical condition, stating that he was "alert and conscious of his surroundings" when he was rushed to the hospital.
