A video has gone viral on social media capturing a motorist's reckless driving at the Makupa roundabout in Nairobi on a Saturday night.
The driver, in a bid to pull off a 360-degree stunt, approached the roundabout at high speed but lost control of the vehicle, hitting the roundabout on its left side after making a 90-degree turn.
Fortunately, the car was blocked by the edge of the roundabout, preventing it from toppling over, but the driver abandoned the vehicle and escaped on foot before police arrived.
According to a Twitter user @Mouchieee, the driver's reckless behavior was a classic example of the dangers of speeding on the roads.
“Speed is the centre theme in most road traffic crash,” @Mouchieee posted.
The video was shared on Kenyan Traffic, a popular motorist group on Twitter, and quickly went viral.
It remains unclear whether there were other occupants inside the car or if the driver was injured in the incident.
