Published on November 11, 2019, Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette has leaped to the defense of under-fire manager Unai Emery, saying fans were being fickle in their criticism.
Emery has faced intense pressure following a string of poor results, including a 2-0 defeat by Leicester City on Saturday, which left the Gunners with just one win in their last six Premier League games.
However, Lacazette believes the international break provides the perfect opportunity for the team to recharge and come back stronger.
"Last season when we were unbeaten in 20 games in a row, nobody said anything about the coach or manager," Lacazette said.
"We miss confidence and we need the international break. I hope we are going to come back well. We want to be top four, of course," he added.
