On November 11, 2019, a brazen robbery incident shook Nairobi's Kasarani area, leaving two people injured and a community in shock.

According to police, the suspect seen shooting a shopper during the robbery is an ex-convict who recently concluded his term at the Kamiti Maximum Prison.

Two people, including a co-owner of the shop and a shopper, were shot and injured during the fateful night. Ulbanus Mutua, who co-owns the shop with Daniel Mutisia, was shot twice on the shoulder.

Richard Muema, the man seen being shot almost 7 times, was Mutua's friend. When he saw him get shot, he rose from the ground to come to his rescue, as explained by Mutisia.

The two victims are currently receiving treatment at the Kenyatta National Hospital, with Muema in the intensive care unit and Mutua in a stable condition.
