Published on November 11, 2019, Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has made a stunning U-turn on his earlier admiration for AU Envoy Raila Odinga.
Just a few months ago, Kuria expressed his admiration for Raila, stating that he was his role model in politics and that they shared a special relationship.
However, in a recent interview with KTN, Kuria took a drastic turn, calling on President Uhuru Kenyatta to end the handshake deal with ODM Leader Raila Odinga.
He alleged that Raila's supporters were irredeemably violent people and that President Kenyatta was lying to himself by working out a peace deal with Odinga.
‘I was among those who were supporting the BBI, but now I know these people cannot change. They believe in violence if they do not get what they want…’ Kuria said.
He further stated that he would shoot down the BBI report, citing the violence in Kibra as a major reason for his change of heart.
It is worth noting that Kuria has in the past faced multiple charges of incitement to violence and hate speech.
