The sudden death of Churchill Raw star Njenga Mswahili has sent shockwaves through the comedy fraternity in Kenya.

His body was discovered near Dagoretti railway tracks, a tragic reminder of the fragility of life.

As news of his passing spread, tributes poured in from his colleagues and fans, with Churchill Raw paying a heartfelt tribute to the late comedian.

On his private Facebook account, Njenga Mswahili had shared some poignant thoughts and quotes that offer a glimpse into his mind frame in the months leading up to his death.

One post stood out, in which he reflected on his life and asked himself if he had been living like Christ.

He wrote, 'As I was reflecting on my life today, I asked myself, have I been living like Christ? Doing the things Christ used to do and shunning all that Christ never did because that is what being a Christian means.'

He also quoted a praise and worship song by Travis Greene and Tim Godfrey, saying, 'You've done so much for me…I cannot tell it all…..NALE KELE mo.'

Another post saw him echoing the words of R Kelly, 'I’m that little bit of hope when my back’s against the wall’.

At one point, Njenga Mswahili got spiritual and wrote an affirmation to his God, saying, 'Ngai ni mutugi, maundu maria ekaga ni makugegania…ndahana ta mundu.'

He added, 'I believe that each and every one of us would desire to be exalted by God. But He only exalts the humble. So if you are humble, please maintain. If you’re not, I plead with you to change otherwise God will eventually humble you.'

His words serve as a poignant reminder of the importance of living a humble and Christ-like life.
