Former President Moi Re-admitted to Hospital ¶
On Monday morning, former President Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi was re-admitted to Nairobi Hospital, a few days after being discharged from the same medical facility on November 9, 2019.
According to Lee Njiru, President Moi's spokesperson, the 95-year-old former head of state has been undergoing regular check-ups at the hospital since Saturday, November 9, 2019.
Mr. Njiru stated that the former president has been admitted to the hospital's VIP wing, where he is undergoing routine check-ups under the supervision of his personal physician, Dr. David Silvernstein.
Mr. Njiru appealed to the press fraternity not to cause unwarranted alarm by exploiting the credulity of the masses, stating that medical bulletins will be issued as and if necessary.
He added that the former president is 'alert' and in stable condition.
It is worth noting that President Moi was discharged from the hospital last week after being treated for chest complications for two weeks.
