Former President Daniel Arap Moi has been admitted to Nairobi Hospital for a routine medical check-up, according to his family.
On November 9, 2019, Moi was admitted to the hospital, and as of the latest update, he is being treated in the VIP wing.
Lee Njiru, the Press Secretary and Official Spokesman for the Moi family, released a statement assuring the public that Moi is in good hands.
“Former President Daniel arap Moi is currently in Nairobi Hospital undergoing a routine medical check-up. He was admitted last Saturday, November 9,” Njiru stated.
He added that Moi is being attended to by a professional medical team led by his personal physician, Dr. David Silverstein, and that medical bulletins will be issued as necessary.
Njiru appealed to the press to refrain from causing unwarranted alarm by exploiting the credulity of the masses.
