On November 9, 2019, retired President Daniel arap Moi was discharged from Nairobi hospital after a 10-day stay. However, his health issues persisted, and he was rushed back to the hospital on Saturday, according to the Star newspaper.

Mo's spokesman, Lee Njiru, refused to confirm or deny the latest hospitalization, stating that he was not aware.

Mo's personal physician, David Silverstein, had given him a clean bill of health just a week prior, stating that he would be monitored from his Kabarnet home.

However, sources close to the matter revealed that Moi has a recurring chest complication that is affecting his breathing.

At 95 years old, it's not surprising that Moi's health is a concern. His security detail and family members were seen at the hospital, but it remains unclear which ward he has been taken to.
