On November 9, 2019, a shocking video emerged on social media showing a dramatic shooting at a Kasarani shop. The video, which has been making rounds online, shows two armed robbers entering a small shop and pointing a gun at the co-owner, Richard Muema.

According to eyewitnesses, the robbers were seen ransacking the shop, possibly looking for money. However, things took a turn for the worse when one of the robbers opened fire, shooting the other co-owner, Ulbanus Mutua, twice in the shoulder.

Richard Muema, who was hiding from view, saw an opportunity to strike back and hit the gunman on the head. However, this backfired as the gunman panicked and opened fire, shooting Muema 7 times - 5 times in the abdomen and twice in the legs.

As the situation unfolded, sparks were visible from the video, and although it was unclear whether any bullet hit Muema, it later emerged that he was indeed shot 7 times.

According to reports, police have identified the suspects and have put a face and name to both of them. The shooter is reportedly an ex-convict who had recently completed his term at Kamiti Maximum Prison. The other suspect's name is being withheld for now.

Both victims are currently admitted at Kenyatta National Hospital, with Muema in the ICU.
