Former President Daniel Moi's health has taken a turn for the worse, with sources confirming that he was rushed back to Nairobi Hospital on Saturday morning, just two days after being discharged.
According to reports, Moi's security detail and family members were seen at the hospital, but it was unclear which ward he had been taken to.
His spokesman, Lee Njiru, claimed to be unaware of the former president's hospitalization, saying 'I am not sure, but I will get back. I will call back.'
Just last week, Moi's press secretary announced that the retired President had been allowed to go home after spending 10 days in the hospital, with his medical team giving him a clean bill of health.
However, Moi's recurring chest complications, which affect his breathing, have forced him to return to the hospital for the third time in less than two months.
Doctors say that Moi's condition is a result of his recurring chest complications, which have been a concern for the 95-year-old former head of state.
