On November 11, 2019, Millicent Omanga, a nominated senator, made a sensational claim that Raila Odinga's victory in the Kibra by-election was aided by witchcraft.

Omanga stated that she had gathered sufficient evidence against Odinga, depicting him as a wizard who engages in witchcraft to achieve his political ambitions.

She alleged that Odinga employed three major techniques, including using powder and spitting it out, making a curvy line of smoke, and instructing his followers to dip their hands in water and throw it at the crowd.

Omanga criticized Odinga for cowardice, saying he knew he would not have won on a level playing field and resorted to using black magic to achieve victory.
