Published on November 11, 2019, a couple in their 30s shared their struggles with intimacy, revealing that their sex life is almost dead.

Peris, a 33-year-old woman, confessed that she and her 38-year-old husband have been married for six years but have lost interest in sex. They only have sex once a month, and when they do, it's usually over quickly.

Peris expressed her desire to be sexually satisfied by her husband and to satisfy his needs as well. She asked for advice from readers, wondering what could be causing their lack of intimacy.

Several readers responded with their thoughts and suggestions. Masivula Emmanuel advised Peris to revisit the genesis of her relationship and rekindle the lost romance. Fred Jausenge suggested that Peris and her husband make time to connect with each other, have fun, and try new things.

Other readers, including Tasma Saka and Ouma Ragumo-Sifuyo, offered similar advice, emphasizing the importance of communication, trust, and intimacy in a marriage.

However, not all readers agreed. Dolly Olimba suggested that Peris focus on her husband's good qualities and not let lack of sex be the reason for divorce. Boke, a counselor, pointed out that lack of intimacy in marriage is symptomatic of underlying issues, such as unmet expectations and unresolved conflicts.

Boke advised Peris and her husband to seek the help of a professional counselor to work through their issues and find a solution. Simon, another reader, suggested that the couple try new things and find new ways to enjoy intimacy, rather than comparing themselves to other couples.
