On November 10, 2019, the Technical University of Kenya (TUK) handball team made a statement in the National Handball League, defeating the University of Eldoret's Pippers 30-22 at the Kaloleni grounds in Nairobi.
Charles Okhaso led the losing team with six goals, while Michael Elvis and John Wachira of TUK scored eight and five goals, respectively.
The win marked TUK's sixth victory in the league, bringing their tally to 13 points after nine matches, with six wins and one draw.
Meanwhile, Pippers redeemed their loss by beating Gunners 36-30 at the same venue, increasing their tally to 10 points.
UoE coach Harold Ochieng praised his team's efforts, saying, "We worked hard to strengthen our attacks. I'm glad it came out strongly we need to push harder and maintain our position in the top ten."
