Injured Baryan Receives Support After Horrific Meru Rally Crash

On November 9, 2019, Manvir Baryan, a driver, suffered a horrific crash during the KCB Meru Rally when his Skoda Fabia rolled.

Fortunately, Baryan is out of danger and is expected to make a quick recovery, with his navigator Drew Sturrock unscathed.

However, Baryan suffered pelvic injuries in the crash and was flown to the Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi for treatment.

Three-time national rally champion Baldev Chager, Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi, and Kenya Motorsports Federation president Phineas Kimathi were among those who sent messages wishing Baryan and Sturrock a quick recovery.

Chager stated, "I was told he has a slight hairline fracture near the pelvic which is not life threatening. He is doing well. We wish quick recovery."
