On November 10, 2019, Dismas Indiza secured his second Safari Tour Golf Series win at the Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort Open.
Indiza, sponsored by Johnnie Walker, edged out Sigona Golf Club's Sujan Shah in a three-hole playoff after 72 holes, with both players tied at 2-under par 286.
The decisive holes were the par-4 16th, the par-5 17th, and the par-4 18th. Indiza held par at the 16th, while Shah recorded a double bogey, giving Indiza an early advantage.
At the 17th hole, Indiza made a crucial birdie, extending his lead, while Shah maintained his nerve for a par.
On the final hole of the playoff, Indiza carded a double bogey, but Shah's similar score sealed his fate.
Earlier in the day, Indiza recovered from a disappointing third day to post a round of 1-under par 71, with a first nine score of 37 and a back nine score of 34.
Shah, on the other hand, posted a round of 1-over par 73, with a first nine score of 36 and a back nine score of 37.
For his achievement, Indiza took home USD 1,500 and claimed maximum Road to Magical Kenya Open 2020 ranking points (50) to top the ranking with a total of 240.6 points.
Shah recorded his best finish at a Safari Tour tournament, earning USD 1,000 and 48 Road to Magical Kenya Open 2020 ranking points.
Mathew Wahome from Nyali Golf Club shot a remarkable round of 4-under par 68, securing third spot with a tournament score of 1-under par 287.
Wahome's impressive performance earned him USD 800 and 45 Road to Magical Kenya Open 2020 ranking points.
The Safari Tour Golf Series resumes in a fortnight at the Great Rift Valley Lodge and Golf Resort from November 23 to 27, 2019.
