On Sunday, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party celebrated Bernard Okoth's win in the Kibra by-election at a thanksgiving ceremony held at DC Grounds in Kibra. The event, themed 'Bedroom Iko Locked,' drew a large crowd of supporters.
Among the attendees was Suna East MP Junet Mohamed, who stood out for wearing a maroon cap similar to the one Kimilili MP Didmus Baraza is known for. The cap had gained notoriety after Baraza lost it in a scuffle at the same venue during the Kibra by-election on Thursday.
Baraza's cap was taken by goons who roughed him up at the DC Grounds. A viral video captured the incident, showing Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati shaking hands with Baraza while telling him he had the authority to have him chased out of the venue.
Junet's decision to wear the maroon cap sparked speculation about the coincidence, especially given that he is not known to wear such headgear. The incident has left many wondering if the cap had indeed landed in Junet's hands after the scuffle.
