Published on November 10, 2019, Laikipia Women Representative Cate Waruguru has taken aim at Kirinyaga Governor Ann Waiguru in a scathing attack.
Speaking at the launch of Inua Mama in Uasin Gishu County, Waruguru urged Waiguru to focus her energy on conceiving and bearing children for her husband, rather than trying to speak on behalf of the Agikuyu community.
According to Waruguru, Waiguru is not qualified to speak on behalf of a community with a functional council of elders who perform their role perfectly.
Waruguru's attack comes just days after Waiguru openly stated her support for the handshake and its projects, including the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).
”Kuna mwanamke mwengine hapa sijui ameolewa juzi. Hata tumbo ya kwanza haijatupatia mtoto lakini wakati huu anafikiria ile kitu kubwa atazaa ni kutuzalia BBI,” opined Waruguru.
