A bus traveling from Mombasa to Nairobi attempted to overtake other vehicles when it collided with an oncoming trailer at Salama, resulting in the tragic accident.
The driver of the ill-fated bus fled the scene, and a manhunt has been launched to locate him.
The injured passengers are receiving treatment at the Machakos Level 5 Hospital, while the deceased has been taken to the same facility.
