On Thursday, Kibra witnessed a heated by-election, with Former Senator Boni Khalwale at the center of a stone-throwing duel with unidentified opponents.
Published on November 10, 2019, Khalwale claimed he had to defend himself as a 'man' after being confronted by people he alleged were ODM goons.
He was caught on camera and video engaging in a vicious stone-throwing duel at the dusty DC's grounds in Kibra.
Khalwale likened the scenario to the Biblical story of Daniel surrounded by lions, saying he stood his ground and handled the situation 'man to man'. 'Am I not a man?' he asked an excited crowd in vernacular.
He also claimed that the goons specifically targeted Luhya MPs in Kibra, stoning and chasing away his colleagues, including Moses Wetangula and Hamisi Butichi.
ODM's Bernard Okoth won the election with Jubilee Party's McDonald Mariga finishing second.
