On Sunday morning, a devastating bus accident occurred on the Mombasa-Nairobi highway, claiming one life and leaving 32 others injured.
According to Makueni County Police Commander Joseph Ole Napeiyan, the bus, which was traveling from Mombasa to Nairobi, attempted to overtake other vehicles when it collided with an oncoming trailer.
One woman was killed instantly in the accident.
A manhunt has been launched to apprehend the bus driver, who allegedly fled the scene after the accident.
The injured passengers are receiving treatment at the Machakos Level 5 Hospital, where the body of the deceased is being preserved.
