Comedian Eric Omondi has clarified that he did not break up with his Italian girlfriend Chantal Grazioli, contrary to public belief.
Speaking in an interview with Rembo TV, Omondi revealed that they had staged their separation in May this year, citing the challenges of their long-distance relationship.
"It has been four and a half years since we started out. Since we seem not to be making any progress. First of all, Chantal is young and I consider myself a bit old. I feel like I have been a stumbling block for her as my career has been progressing yet, as she committed to making this work, hers has been stagnating," Omondi said in May.
However, Omondi has now revealed that they are still together and Chantal will be visiting him in Kenya in December for the Christmas holiday.
"Chantal and I never broke up and neither did we separate. If you read what I wrote and what she wrote, she was going to school had to handle other life things. We are not even on a break and she is coming over to Kenya for Christmas," Omondi said.
