Laikipia Women Representative Cate Waruguru has urged President Uhuru Kenyatta to end his relationship with Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga, describing the handshake as 'dead'.

Waruguru made the call during the Inua Mama team 'Jenga Taifa' campaign on 9 November in Iten, hosted by Elgeyo Marakwet Woman Rep Jane Jepkorir Chebaibai.

She argued that the main purpose of the handshake was not only to patronize Raila but also to bring an end to street demonstrations against Uhuru's administration.

Waruguru claimed that Raila Odinga hid his true intentions under the table, and since they have found out, the handshake is officially dead.

She urged President Kenyatta to reject the Build Bridges Initiative (BBI) and accused Raila Odinga of having a hidden agenda.

Waruguru also reminded Iten residents what transpired in 2013, claiming Raila stood against Uhuru and Ruto when they were facing charges at the International Criminal Court (ICC).

She argued that people should not think Jubilee Party members are stupid, as Raila advocated for the imprisonment of Uhuru and Ruto in 2013.

Waruguru also reprimanded Dagoretti North MP, Simba Arati, questioning why he was not arrested.
