Kenyan musician Juliani has been away from the music scene for a while, citing a need to restructure his life. In a recent interview with Bety Kyallo, he shared his experiences, including his relationship with Brenda Wairimu, which he discussed in a separate article published on Kiss 100 on November 10, 2019.

Juliani also spoke about the loss of his close friend, Bob Collymore, who passed away in 2019. When asked by Bety Kyallo how life had been since his loss, Juliani emotionally opened up, saying:

"It is heavy. Even the other day, I was asking myself who I would call when I am in need. Because back then, I would call him at any time, tell him I am not okay, and when I call him to ask for as little as a thousand shillings, he would come through."

He further added:

"We were that close. He was the kind of person who did not ask a lot of questions. Now, borrowing someone's money, you need to give a lot of your documents as guarantee and reasons."

Bob Collymore was more than a friend to Juliani; he was a mentor and someone he looked up to for affirmation. Juliani mentioned that he is at a point in his life where he feels he has nobody, saying:

"Now, I feel I do not have someone to protect me."

Juliani was among the few people who attended Bob's intimate burial ceremony, which was attended by close friends and family. Bob's legacy continues to be felt in Kenya through the people he mentored, including Juliani.
