On November 10, 2019, a brazen robbery took place at a shop in Kasarani, Nairobi county, leaving one client with eight gunshot wounds.

According to eyewitnesses, two robbers stormed into the shop and ordered everyone to lie down. One brave client, Richard Muema, attempted to attack them, but was sprayed with bullets instead.

Muema is currently recuperating at Kenyatta National Hospital after undergoing surgery to remove the bullets from his body.

The police have launched a manhunt for the two thieves, who are still at large. Detectives from the DCI have appealed to the public to help identify the culprits and bring them to book.

"Detectives have already commenced investigations into this matter with the ultimate aim of bringing all those involved to book. Any person with any information about their identity can contact DCI Kasarani or send us direct message," said DCI in a Twitter post.
