Kenyan professional golfer Dismas Indiza claimed the Pam Golding Safari Open title on November 9, 2019, at the Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort and Spa. The event was part of the Safari Tour series.

Indiza edged out Sigona's Sujan Shah in a play-off on the third hole, after both golfers had tied on two under par at the end of regulation play. Indiza had posted a one under par 71 in the final round, with five birdies, but a double bogey on the 10th hole threatened to derail his chances.

Shah, on the other hand, struggled to find his rhythm, managing only one birdie and dropping shots on the fifth and 10th holes. He finished with a one over par 73, also on two under par 286.

The play-off saw Indiza birdie the 16th and 17th holes, but bogey the 18th, while Shah double-bogeyed the 16th, parred the 17th, and picked up a double at the 18th. This gave Indiza the title.

Young professional Mathew Wahome had an excellent day, shooting a four under par 68 in the final round to jump from seventh to third place on one under par 287. He made birdies on the third, sixth, seventh, and eighth holes in the first nine, and recovered two dropped shots at the back nine's 13th and 15th.

The event was sponsored by Pam Golding properties and Serena Hotels, among others. It was a good outing for the Kenyans, who claimed the first seven slots in the field of 20 players who made the cut.
