Published on November 9, 2019, two sisters from Nandi County, Sharon Chepchirchir and Lydia Chepkemboi, have been at the center of a heated online debate after revealing their unusual habit of eating washing soaps.

According to Chepchirchir, 24, she discovered her appetite for soap at the age of five and has been enjoying it ever since. Her younger sister, Lydia, 17, shares the same habit, which they claim has no side effects.

When asked about their unusual habit, Chepchirchir explained, "I don't know why I eat soap but I enjoy it. I discovered my appetite for soap when I was five years old."

Lydia, who lives with their aunt, revealed that she and Chepchirchir bonded over their shared love of soap, often borrowing bars from each other.
