On November 9, 2019, Ghana and Cameroon played to a 1-1 draw in their Group A fixture at the Africa U23 Cup of Nations in Egypt.
Bayern Munich youngster Franck Evina opened the scoring for Cameroon in the 59th minute with a well-crafted free-kick from outside the box.
However, Ghana's Asante Kotoko centre-back Habib Mohammed equalized three minutes to full-time, slotting home a deflected Zachariah Fuseini shot from close range.
The draw left both teams with a point apiece after the match at Cairo International Stadium.
Ghana coach Ibrahim Tanko handed starts to Spain-based Kwabena Owusu and FC Utrecht attacker Issah Abass, who only joined the team in Egypt on Tuesday.
Cameroon's line-up was led by Rigobert Song, with support from Austrian-based Michael Cheukoua, Osmanlispor attacker Eric Ayuk, and Espanyol striker Kevin Soni.
