On November 8, 2019, a peculiar scene unfolded in a Nairobi court when Makadara chief magistrate Heston Nyaga ordered two men to shake hands after they were charged with assaulting each other.

Muva Mutambuki and Moses Omondi had been involved in a fight on August 30 at a house in Kaloleni, with the dispute reportedly stemming from a Sh2,000 debt.

After the incident, both men separately reported the matter to the Makongeni police station.

When they appeared in court, Nyaga directed them to make a 'serious handshake' in the dock, which they did, leading to their immediate release.
