Bishop Allan and Pastor Kathy Kiuna, the influential leaders of Jubilee Christian Church (JCC), have been a spectacle in Kenya's gospel scene. Their prosperity gospel message has drawn thousands of followers, both physically and online.

However, in a recent Instagram post, Mrs. Kiuna shared a heartfelt story about her husband's cancer journey. Bishop Kiuna spent most of last year battling the disease, undergoing chemotherapy that left him bedridden. Miraculously, he recovered, and the couple's resilience has been an inspiration to many.

As I reflect on the Kiunas' experience, I am compelled to challenge them to use this opportunity to give back to their community. With their influence and resources, they can make a significant impact on the lives of those affected by cancer.

It is time for the Kiunas to put their words into action. They should use their platform to raise awareness about cancer, promote early screening, and provide support to those struggling financially due to the disease.

Establishing a foundation to support cancer orphans or foot the medical bills of children with cancer would be a meaningful step. It is the least a couple who has made a fortune on the backs of a desperate congregation can do.

As Saint Paul wrote in Romans 8:28, 'And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.'

Let the Kiunas' experience work together for good – for the good of the community they serve, for the good of many suffering with cancer, and even for the good of their brand.
