The decision was made to accommodate the East African Local Authority Sports and Cultural Association (EALASCA) Games in Uganda from December 1-8.
According to Patrice Lumumba, acting Chairman of the KYISA Local Organizing Committee, the event was rescheduled after a meeting with the KYISA Secretariat led by Secretary General Ambrose Kisoi at a Busia hotel on Thursday.
The 6th edition of the Games will feature football, volleyball, and basketball for both categories, with the participating counties expected to showcase youth talents and market the county's cultural heritage, hospitality, and social aspects.
December 14 has been set as the arrival date for the participating counties, while the opening ceremony will take place on December 16.
The championship will be held in five venues in the western region based county, including Busia stadium, St Mathias Busia Secondary, Our Lady of Mercy St Monica Chakol Girls, Lwanya Girls, and Busia Township Vocational Training Centre.
Patrice Lumumba emphasized the importance of adequate security, first aid facilities, and publicity for the Games.
