Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has hinted at a potential return to Italy, where he played for Brescia in the Serie A during the 1992-1993 season.
Guardiola, who has been at Manchester City since 2016, has consistently stated his happiness at the club, but has not ruled out the possibility of managing in Italy in the future.
Speaking to Sky in Italy, Guardiola said, “Training in Italy? Why not. It was a pleasure [to be there] as a player, with the great (Carlo) Mazzone [former Brescia manager]. I had a great time and I love the country but now I feel good in England, it’s a great championship. But maybe yes, I’m not that old.”
Guardiola denied being approached by Juventus in the summer, telling an Italian reporter, “You had false information, you have to do your job better,” as he smiled.
