On Saturday, Gunners will face a daunting task as they take on unbeaten Black Mamba in a Kenya Handball Federation National League match at Kaloleni grounds.

Published on November 8, 2019, at 5:51 PM.

Black Mamba, with 18 points from nine matches, will be looking to extend their lead against Gunners, who are placed 19th with two points from three matches.

Gunners coach Emmanuel Kieti acknowledged that his team starts as underdogs but expressed confidence in their ability to give a good account of themselves.

“Black Mamba is an experienced side that has stood the test of time and I’m glad that we will have the chance to play them. However, we are not bothered by their current status and we just want to give a good account of ourselves when we play them,” Kieti said.

Black Mamba coach Martin Abunde, on the other hand, emphasized that his team will not be carried away by Gunners' current position, saying they can pull a surprise.

“We haven’t really watched their game or played them before, we don’t know what to expect but we will be going for the win. We want to keep the momentum of winning and see what happens going forward,” Abunde noted.

Other fixtures scheduled for the weekend include Bucanners v Nanyuki, MKU Thika v UoN Pippers, Nanyuki v Worriors, UoE Pippers v Thika, Warriors v Kaluluini, Administration Police v Kaluluini, Kaluluini v MKU Thika, and Pippers v Gunners.
