Published on November 8, 2019, a report from Nandi County has left residents in awe after two sisters from the same village were found eating soap.

Sharon Jepchirchir, 24, and Lydia Chepkemboi, 17, have been eating soap for 19 and six years respectively, leaving their neighbors in shock.

According to a report by KTN, Jepchirchir revealed that she started eating soap as a child and has grown to love its taste.

"I started eating soap when I was a child, and I love its taste. My friends get surprised when they eat soap and I'm left alone," Jepchirchir said.

The two sisters claim to have been searching for a solution to stop eating soap, including seeking prayers, but have been unsuccessful.

"I don't know if we're cursed or what, but we were told by our grandmother that a woman who was once starved for a long time started eating soap," Jepchirchir said.
