Musician Nyashinski's Dowry Ceremony: Insights from Close Friend Nameless ¶
On November 8, 2019, musician Nyashinski officiated his relationship to his Nandi girl in a traditional event, with close family and allies in attendance.
Close friend and fellow musician Nameless was among the guests, and he shared his thoughts on the ceremony in an interview.
"By the way huko, niliongea! Nilimpatia marks hapo mpaka tuu mambuyu wanasema, Okay… (nodding their heads).", Nameless said, recalling the ceremony.
Nyashinski later confirmed this, telling Nameless, "Wee! hapo umenipatia marks hapo.", according to Nameless.
However, Nameless clarified that the event was not a lavish wedding, but rather a traditional dowry ceremony.
As someone who has been married and has experienced the challenges of marriage, Nameless offered advice to Nyashinski, saying, "I was being real with him, I told him, this thing is not going to be easy and you have to develop skills of how to live with each other because we are not taught those things.",
He emphasized the importance of emotional intelligence in marriage, saying, "If you don’t, you miscommunicate so much mpaka unashindwa why this thing is not working out.",
