Published on November 8, 2019, Naira Marley's song Soapy has gained significant traction with 4.6 million views in just over two months.
The song's catchy beat and flow, reminiscent of Mr Real's Legbegbe, have drawn comparisons to Diamond Platnumz's style.
However, some have accused Diamond Platnumz of stealing his new song Baba Lao from Naira Marley, citing similarities in flow, delivery, and instrumentals.
This is not the first time Diamond Platnumz has been accused of jacking tracks, with fellow WCB artist Harmonize also facing similar allegations.
Additionally, Willy Paul and Rayvanny have been accused of having the same song, Chuchuma, with Willy Paul claiming that Rayvanny stole his track.
It remains to be seen whether Diamond Platnumz's new song Baba Lao will be shot in an American prison setting, as some have speculated.
