On November 8, 2019, Amina Mude, the wife of television news presenter Ben Kitili, opened up about their interfaith union in a question and answer session on her Instagram page.
Many of her followers were curious about how the couple made their different religious affiliations work in their marriage.
A fan, presumably Muslim, reached out to Amina, saying she was the reason why she hadn't given up on her Christian boyfriend.
Amina responded with some words of advice, saying couples in interfaith relationships should fight for their loved ones.
"If you find a guy loves you and adores you, fight for him. The rules of love are not cast in stone," said the mother of two.
When asked if her parents approved of her relationship with Ben Kitili, Amina replied, "They do but it wasn’t wasn’t easy."
Another fan asked if she found it challenging, considering Ben is a Christian and she's Muslim. Amina said, "Religion wasn’t an issue to me, Ben is such an awesome guy so things just clicked."
