On November 7, 2019, a tragic incident shook the entertainment industry in Kenya. Comedian Njenga Mswahili, whose real name was James Anthony Njenga, was found dead on a rail track in Dagoretti.

A source who witnessed the scene described the body as 'badly mangled.'

Laugh Industry, the company behind Churchill Raw TV, officially confirmed the news in a statement.

"Laugh Industry grieves the passing on of James Anthony Njenga aka Njenga Mswahili which occurred on the morning of November 7. We express our deep and heartfelt condolences to the grieving family and join in prayers for the deceased," the statement read.

Churchill, the godfather of Kenyan comedy, also paid tribute to the star, saying, "Sad day. It’s with great sadness we grieve the death of Njenga Mswahili. May God’s will be done!"
