On November 7, 2019, Kisii Senior Resident Magistrate S.K. Onjoro released 13 suspects arrested for examination malpractices at Milimani Ramasha Academy in Kisii.
The suspects included the school director, Charles Osoro, an alleged deputy principal, the center supervisor, and a cook, who were charged with aiding impersonation and released on a cash bail of Sh 40,000 or a bond of Sh 100,000 with a similar surety.
The 11 alleged impersonators faced charges of impersonation contrary to section 31(a) of the Kenya National Examination number 29 of 2012 and were released on a cash bail of Sh 20,000 and bond of Sh 50,000 with a similar surety.
The magistrate also ordered the suspects to report at the Kisii Central SCIO offices every Saturday and those who could not raise the bail and bond terms to be given police escort to the examination center.
