On November 7, 2019, a Kibra resident, Cancious Ochieng Abich, made headlines after showing up to vote in a unique outfit, bringing smiles to the faces of other voters.
Abich, a fashion-conscious resident, wore an official shirt with long trousers tied up in his chest, giving him a high-waist style. The unusual attire caught the attention of other voters, who couldn't help but smile at the sight.
Speaking to the press, Abich revealed that he did not vote because his name was missing from the voter's register. Despite this, he was satisfied with the attention he received from the other voters, who were excited by his fashion sense.
Abich stated that he has about twelve clothes similar to the one he was wearing and that it is his style. He added that he likes to wear his official wear in high-waist style because it makes him happy when people get excited over his look.
The high-waist man brought back good memories of the popular Githeri Man, whose character was born during elections. Githeri Man became an instant hit after he was captured on camera eating Githeri from a nylon paper bag while waiting in the line to vote.
