A 25-year-old man from Nakuru County has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for murdering his neighbor over a gallon of milk.
According to reports, David Njoroge was accused of stabbing Kennedy Waithigo Agosti in 2014, claiming he had taken his milk.
Judge Janet Mulwa handed down the sentence, stating that it was a necessary measure to deter others from committing similar crimes.
"The accused had the intention to commit murder, and carrying a knife was a clear indication of his intentions," Judge Mulwa said.
However, the accused claimed he was remorseful and had changed his ways.
On November 7, 2019, Judge Janet Mulwa delivered the verdict in a Nakuru court.
